This backcountry SxS tour to Knik Glacier offers the perfect blend of adventure and comfort.
Your adventure begins at the base of Pioneer Peak, where you’ll settle into a fully enclosed (think dust free), side-by-side vehicle complete with wireless pairing right to your phone so you can enjoy your favorite tunes while exploring Alaska’s beautiful landscapes. From there, your private guide will lead you along winding forest trails, across open meadows, and through the stunning Knik River Valley, with sweeping views of the Chugach Mountains unfolding around every bend.
Unlike our group tours, this exclusive experience is entirely yours & whoever you choose to bring along. Along the way to the glacier, you’ll stop at viewpoints, enjoy elevated trail snacks and refreshments, watch for wildlife and have a little more freedom to go at your own pace.
At the glacier, take time to truly soak it all in. Relax in comfortable camp chairs, enjoy a delicious hot lunch, and, conditions permitting, gather around a cozy fire as you overlook the iceberg-filled lake at the base of the 27-mile-long Knik Glacier. Skip stones along the shoreline, polar plunge in the lake, take photos or simply enjoying the stunning scenery.
After your time at the glacier, you’ll journey back to base just as comfortably, with plenty of opportunities for photos and exploration along the way.

Reservation Policy
Due to limited capacity, advance reservations are highly recommended. If booking by phone, a credit card is required to confirm and hold your reservation at time of booking. Payment is due upon check-in at our office. We accept cash, check, Visa, M/C , American Express or Discover. Cancel up to 30 days prior to tour date with no penalty.
Guide Gratuity
Guide gratuities are not included in the tour price. Tipping is not expected but it is very much appreciated. Our guides work hard to ensure a safe & fun adventure for for all our guests! If you feel you’ve received a 5 star experience we hope you’ll consider showing your appreciation!
Round trip Transportation is available
Round trip transportation between Anchorage and our Palmer office is available for an additional $240 for up to 5 People.
