4-Day Snowmobile Safari

8:00am: If you don’t already have your own transportation, our driver and van will meet your group at the main entrance of your Hotel to transport you to our office in Palmer, Alaska where you will be outfitted with you snow gear, helmets, etc.

9:00am: We will depart our office for your snowmobile adventure. The drive up to Willow is very scenic. The road winds up through the MatanuskaValley and continues up north past the town of Wasilla. Our driver will narrate and will cover points of interest along the way.

10:30am: Arrive at Willow and suit up for your first day’s snowmobile ride. You will depart the Willow trailhead and head down the Iditarod Trail which takes you along the banks of the mighty SusitnaRiver. This huge frozen river serves as a major travel corridor for access to the remote lodges and riding areas. We’ll travel along the SusitnaRiver for about 25 miles until we meet up with the frozen confluence of the YentnaRiver. Our route will follow the YentnaRiver as it winds back further into the wilderness for another 15 miles arriving at a warm and confortable Yentna Station Roadhouse where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Depending on the kind of speed the group makes, there should be some good opportunities for playing around on the snowmobiles utilizing many of the huge open meadows and frozen swamps along the way.

5:00pm: Check in to the Denali View Lodge, situated on a bluff with a grand view of Mt. McKinley. Enjoy a delicious full course dinner as you soak in the warmth and hospitality of your hosts. After dinner, bask in our beautiful sauna and relax in the main lodge prior to heading off to bed.

Rest well tonight for another day of exploring the wilderness of Alaska again tomorrow.

8:00am: The Shell Lake Lodge staff will serve up a hearty breakfast, to make sure everyone has plenty of energy for the day’s ride.

9:00am: Enjoy the best of what Alaska has to offer. Your guides will lead you to areas where extensive off-trail riding is available and many areas offer deep, deep untracked snow and spectacular scenery beyond description.

6:00pm: Dinner is served at Denali View Lodge again after a nice long week of snowmobiling. Tonight relax outdoors around a fire waiting for the ‘Northern Lights’ to appear. While in the heart of the Alaska range, this is your best opportunity to view this spectacular phenomenon. We can fire up the sauna again tonight too so you can warm up those achy muscles from all of that adventurous riding.

8:00am: The Denali View Lodge Staff will serve up a your final breakfast in the wilderness before heading back to civilization.

3-Day ATV Safari

Morning (8 a.m.): Arrive bright and early to head off to our first location of riding. Once at the trail head your guide will discuss the plan for the trip, cover backcountry travel, and ATV safety. Today’s adventure will take you deep into the Tahetna Pass area. In the wide open divide area of Eureka, the miles will fly by as we explore the surrounding alpine tundra. This area features jeep trails winding through hills to gold mining claims. The possibilities are endless and the immensity is mind boggling. The day will be a great opportunity to view wildlife like Caribou and Ptarmigan, and get warmed up for the ATV excitement ahead.

Mid-day: We keep it simple and eat our lunch out on the trail, stopping for a break, and enjoying the scenery.

Afternoon: As our tanks near empty, we will make our way back to our lodge. With plenty of day light it will be easy to appreciate the views of the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains and the Matanuska Glacier Valley. Get cleaned up for dinner and conversation at our comfortable Alaskan lodge.

Morning: We will introduce you to “Alaska time” and catch a hearty breakfast at our lodge while we prepare for the day. This day will bring you options such as whitewater rafting, flightseeing, glacier trekking, and/or ATVing. We will at least stop by the Matanuska Glacier for some photos.

Afternoon: Depending on your comfort level we will choose from three incredible options. Riding the Puritian Trail, Kings River, or Eska falls. This will be one of our more technical days of riding. In the evening we will return to the Palmer area for dinner and the comforts of an Alaskan B&B.

No ATV trip to Alaska is complete without a ride in our favorite riding area. Featured in Dirt Rider Magazine and on the Outdoor Life Network and Fishers ATV World, many of our clients visit Alaska just for this unique day trip. Ride the maze of trails, deep water, sand dunes, and wide open flats on the way to the face of the massive Knik Glacier. Perhaps enjoy a night on the town, before saying goodbye until your next adventure with Alaska All Terrain Center.

We look forward to having you join us for one of our amazing year-round, locally guided adventures in the spectacular Alaskan backcountry.
