Meet Your ATV Guides

We Have the Best ATV Tour Guides

We have the best guides in all of Alaska! They are fun and will make you laugh on your tour, they bring you safety tips and ensure your ride goes smoothly, and they love sharing these trails with you. Many of our guides have grown up riding these trails with their own families! All our guides know the trails like the back of their hand and ensure you’ll never get lost out in the backcountry.

Spot moose thanks to their keen eyes and learn about the glaciated valley you’ll ride through. You can visit the Knik Glacier which is the closest glacier to Anchorage! It’s the only glacier lake in all of Alaska that you can ride right up to on an ATV tour. Your ride will get more interesting with guide shenanigans and dad jokes – you’ve been warned!

Our guides pack the snacks and water so you stay hydrated and are never hangry. They teach you to ride your machines, to follow trail hand signals, and how to cross creeks. Your guides also check trails constantly to ensure they are safe for you to ride!

Once you reach the glacier, they can take a great photo of you and will cook you up some lunch. Your guides will take care of you so you can explore the backcountry and enjoy your time without a worry!

Meet Your Guides!

First up, say hey to Anna!

Man I Need by Olivia Dean

If a guest only remembers one thing from a tour with you, what do you hope it is?

If they had a great time on the tour my name is ANNA… if they didn’t my name is JACK :)

What’s the most embarrassing thing to realize you forgot when you’re 20 miles into the backcountry?

I managed to forget the basics (plates, forks, and a lighter) for a huge crowd, but my coworkers turned into a literal rescue squad. They delivered the goods in record time, keeping the “crisis” our little secret.

Who was the person who first taught you to respect the outdoors, and what was their most valuable piece of advice?

My love for the wilderness is a gift from my Grandfather, a man who was happiest when hiking, fishing, or out on the water. He firmly believed that no one is ever too old to shoulder a 16-foot canoe—and if you actually can’t do it, you just take that secret to your grave.

Tell us your funniest trail story!

This is a hard one. There are many.  There was one time that me and Hailey had a big group and our last guest got stuck in a deep hole in Kelly Creek.  While Hailey was giving kids piggy back rides out of the water, I was trying to figure out how to hook up wenches in two different angles in order to pull the machine out. The guest had a real Alaska story to tell after that.

If a guest only remembers one thing from a tour with you, what do you hope it is?

Genuine connection and amazing memories.

Who was the person who first taught you to respect the outdoors, and what was their most valuable piece of advice?

My uncle would always tell us to get outside, get dirty, and make everyday an adventure.  He was right!

Meet Hailey!

What’s the one song you secretly hum inside your helmet while riding?

What is sang in my helmet stays in my helmet

What’s the most embarrassing thing to realize you forgot when you’re 20 miles into the backcountry?

My guests…. KIDDING (maybe). Real answer, tp.

If a guest only remembers one thing from a tour with you, what do you hope it is?

A meaningful moment!! Whether it was a connection made through conversation, a scenic trail they liked or a peaceful spot at the glacier with a view of the icebergs, if a guest takes home with them a moment they cherish when they look back on that’s a win and a good day at work.

Who was the person who first taught you to respect the outdoors, and what was their most valuable piece of advice?

My mom. When we were little she would let us dress ourselves to go outside in the winter. When it was in the negatives and we would say it too cold, her response was always “It’s never too cold, you’re just ill prepared.”  Alaska has much to offer but it doesn’t just offer it up. In order to experience it, change for it. The outdoors do not change for you!

Meet Nicki!

What’s the one song you secretly hum inside your helmet while riding?

I Can Show You the World, from Aladdin. Followed by any other Disney song from the 90s.

What’s the most embarrassing thing to realize you forgot when you’re 20 miles into the backcountry?

For my guests, TP or forks. For me personally, not embarassing, but less than ideal: my pee funnel. It’s the best invention ever. Seriously every lady that goes on a tour with me gets the spiel.

Returning guides: Tell us your funniest trail story!

I can’t think of one specifically-every day is filled with laughter, usually at a guides expense.

If a guest only remembers one thing from a tour with you, what do you hope it is?
I hope my guests remember that they felt safe enough with me to do something that might have made them feel slightly uncomfortable: using the facili-trees, driving a SxS for the first time, dipping a toe (or two) into glacial water.

Who was the person who first taught you to respect the outdoors, and what was their most valuable piece of advice?

My mom was the first person that taught me how important it was to take care of, and respect, the outdoors. I learned very early that a “litter bug” was not a cool insect.
