Embark on an epic Alaskan adventure tailor-made for families, teams, or groups of friends with our private ATV and snowmobile adventures. We’re located just a stone’s throw from Anchorage and our customized group experiences cater to all skill levels.
We have different length tour options but our most popular for groups is our full-day ATV tour to the Knik Glacier which promises an unforgettable experience. Starting amidst the towering peaks of Pioneer Peak, traverse wooded trails and splash through puddles as you ride out the vast Knik River Valley. Along the way, take in panoramic vistas of the Chugach Mountains.
Led by seasoned guides, you’ll arrive at the awe-inspiring Knik Glacier. Here, at the glacier’s toe, your group will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy lunch with one of the most stunning views you can imagine. We have tents & chairs available for our group tours. While your lunch is cooking your group can polar plunge into the waters of the Knik’s iceberg-studded lake. Refuel with a hot lunch around a campfire before embarking on an equally scenic return journey.

Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours proudly provides the NEWEST and easily one of the LARGEST ATV/UTV fleets in Alaska. With BRAND NEW machines every year, you can count on a reliable, safe and comfortable adventure. Every tour also includes all the gear you will need to keep your group comfortable on the trail!
UTV‘s & ATV’s
Your group will be riding our brand new Can-Am machines. We have UTV’s that seat 4 or 6 as well single person ATV’s
Helmet & Goggles
In the summer you’ll also be provided with a dust mask to help keep dust and mud off your face!
Jacket & Rain Pants
On our tours you’ll be cruising through water, also it’s Alaska so it might be raining. We provide all rain gear to ensure you stay dry!
Boots & Gloves
Your hands and feet are important. We’ll make sure they stay dry and warm through all the adventuring!

Reservation Policy
Due to limited capacity, advance reservations are highly recommended. If booking by phone, a credit card is required to confirm and hold your reservation at time of booking. Payment is due upon check-in at our office. We accept cash, check, Visa, M/C , American Express or Discover. Cancel up to 30 days prior to tour date with no penalty.
Guide Gratuity
Guide gratuities are not included in the tour price. Tipping is not expected but it is very much appreciated. Any amount is appreciated, in general people tip 5-10%.

Round trip Transportation is available
Round trip transportation between Anchorage and our Palmer office is available for an additional $240 for up to 5 People.
